My birthday is coming up on March 20. It's a date that I share with other piano luminaries including Harold Mabern, Larry Harlow, and Marian McPartland. In 2003, I recorded a Piano Jazz episode with Marian that occurred just days before our shared birthdate. I remember walking into the studio while Marian was on the phone with Peter Jennings.
